John XXIII Catholic School
195 Athabasca Street,
Message from Administration
It’s June and another school year is almost complete! Time always seems to pass so quickly. I think back to all the wonderful events that happened this year and I’m thankful to our great staff, our wonderful parent community and of course, our excellent student body.
A big thank you to Father Peter Choi for his ongoing support throughout the year. Fr. Peter will be relocating parishes for next year. We wish him well and ask God to bless him as he undertakes the next step in his journey.
A big “thanks” to all the staff who organized events like; Soccer, Jump Rope for Heart, Track and Field, Eco Team and Talent Show. These were just some of the activities held in May and June, as well as numerous trips and excursions.
We congratulate our grade 3 and grade 6 students who prepared and worked hard on their EQAO testing which will finish up the first week of June.
I’d like to wish our grade 6 students all the best as they move on to their next placement. It was my pleasure getting to know them and I know they will continue to do well next year. They will all be greatly missed at John XXIII. We will celebrate together with lunch at the Mandarin Restaurant on June 27th.
I would like to thank the staff who will be leaving John XXIII at the end of June to begin new assignments at other schools. Your contributions to our school have been immeasurable and I wish you well as you move on.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a safe and relaxing summer. Thank you, again, for all your support throughout the year. We will see you back on September 6th, ready for another great year.
Mr. M. Legacy
